I was online editor on KIJIJI. My job was simple and the goal was to create add a Youtuber like vibe to the project. I teamed up with @LaurentBernier and @VincentBilodeau to create graphics and reframing animation to bring @DidierCharette idea to life.

Even though the job description was not that elaborate, the entire project was massive and a lot of versions had to be exported for YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram and Snapchat. All those exports had to be reframed to match perfectly the respective websites formats (1:1, 16:9 and 9:16). The subtitles were provided by the agency and also had to be changed from time to time to accommodate the different framing.

I had to place the titles, banners and motion design with good sizing and position for every unique version. There was a total of 25 different videos with 7 exports to accommodate all the different platforms for a total of 175 files. All of the work was done remotely and I had to keep track of all versions with the different coordinators for English and French versions.

I didn’t have to create a lot of effects other than logo removal, background blur and phone screen replacement. I received some screen grabs from the real Kijiji website that I had to include in different situations when the actors displayed the items at the beginning of the pranks. I also got asked to not not keep the reflections since most of the time we could see the camera operator and because it prevented a good understanding of the item displayed on the screen.
